Mark has completed 75 triathlons since 1981, including five Ironman races (Ironman World Championship three times and Ironman Canada twice). Back in 1983, he was 4th at the U.S. Amateur Triathlon Championships (long course) at Lake Havasu, Arizona. Mark comes from a competitive swimming background and was 6th out of the water at Ironman Canada in both 1988 and 1989 (with a best swim split of 50:57). He has a Bachelors degree from UCLA and a Masters in Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University.
